Read below to hear more about their inspiration, latest projects, and what they’re listening to these days.
Tell us a bit about yourself…
I’m a gender non-conforming Palestinian artist, singer, DJ, and producer based in Odense, Denmark. I always found solace in the power of music, which blossomed into a power for storytelling that draws inspiration from personal experience. My lyrics reflect on the resilience and diversity of overcoming adversity, highlighting the struggles but also hope and a sense of belonging among listeners. This aligns with my passion for social justice and advocacy for LGBTQIA+ rights and Palestinians Liberation movements. I believe music serves as a catalyst for change, challenging societal norms, and embracing one’s true self.

How do you describe your sound?
It’s a vibrant blend of infectious beats, catchy melodies, and thought-provoking lyrics that draws inspiration electronic, Reggaeton, and rap. It defies genre boundaries…
Can you tell us about your latest project?
With ‘RESURRECTION,’ I provide a unique glimpse into growing up in a homophobic and patriarchal environment. Through the EP’s 8 songs, we follow the journey from denial and self-hate to rebellion, liberation, and pride in being queer. It showcases my journey of self-discovery and rebirth, as I explore themes of neglect, growth, and empowerment, and is about the process of resurrection, both personally and creatively. It’s about finding the strength to let go of the pain from the past, and to create a new, more authentic version of myself. Unapologetically.

Who are you listening to these days?
Lately, I’ve been listening to a lot of chants used during demonstrations for Palestine in Denmark. Chants are now used in places beyond just demonstrations. We do them when we’re together, buying groceries, chilling in parks, and organizing for actions. Besides chants, I’ve been listening to Palestinian artists Elyanna and Saint Levant.
Reflect with us, is there something on your mind you’d like to share? (even if it’s random!)
I would like to send a message to my people in Palestine:
Even though we’re trying to convince yesterday’s colonizers that today’s colonizers are wrong,
we hear your calls and are doing everything we can to liberate you.
In Gaza, in the West Bank, and in 48, the entire world is with you.
Inshallah, we can meet for the first time in my lifetime. We see you.
Sumud, my loves.
