If Virginia Woolf were alive, what would she be tweeting about?
“Sipping tea. Pen, paper and cigarettes. Lost in thought of city Irbid, escaping the fuss of Amman.” Potential hashtags run through my mind as I go to press ‘Tweet,’ consuming all of my attention and tempting me to a reality that directly contradicts what I had written. I put down my iPad and head to the fields seeking solitude. The breeze briefly took my thoughts to another place, but I was soon met with aggressive stares. Taken aback, I took out my iPad and re-tweeted “#noescape #stares. A woman must have money and a room of her own if she is to write fiction.”
